Riding for Focus (R4F) is a school-based cycling program created by Outride.
Riding for Focus is designed to integrate cycling into the school day. Developed as a result of our research findings, R4F is designed to help young riders build confidence and skills on the bike. Eligible schools may receive a grant to establish a program, which includes a fleet of bikes and curriculum.
Application process & timeline
- Please read our grant guidelines and FAQ to assess your readiness to implement R4F in your community.
- Apply online by April 17th, 2026.
- Internal review and scoring.
- Selected schools are invited to interview with Outride staff on a rolling basis.
- Schools are notified of award decision on a rolling basis.
- All schools will be notified by mid-April.
